The city's own 47,500-square-foot recreation center on Main Street, and the default answer for pickup basketball in Cedar Park: two full-court gymnasiums that also stripe for pickleball and volleyball, plus cardio and weight areas, an elevated walking track and drop-in child care. Court time runs on a gym schedule posted weekly, so open play shares the floor with programs and rentals and it is worth checking before you drive over. A resident individual membership is $20 a month and a guest day pass is $10. Non-residents pay double at every tier.

Twin Lakes Family YMCA

A full-service family Y off Little Elm Trail whose full-size gymnasium sits alongside an indoor pool, a warm water therapy pool, a gymnastics gym, a sauna and a teen center, so basketball is one piece of a much larger building. Court time comes with membership rather than a drop-in fee, and the Y runs its own fall youth basketball league. The catch for price shoppers: the YMCA of Central Texas quotes rates through an online calculator instead of publishing a price list, so you will not see your number until you start a signup. Weekday doors open at 5am.

Austin Sports Center - Cedar Park

A 20,000-square-foot hardwood barn on Toro Grande built for booked court time rather than walk-in workouts. The main floor converts to three 85-by-50-foot basketball or futsal courts, and an annex added in 2023 has room for one more. There is no membership and no posted opening hours, because the building is only open when someone has reserved it: a single court runs $60 to $150 an hour depending on date, time and what else is happening, and renting the whole facility is $340 to $400 an hour. A mezzanine with tables and free internet makes it a comfortable place to sit through a tournament.

The Premier Athletic Complex

The PAC sits on 183A a few minutes north of Cedar Park and is the closest thing in the area to a purpose-built basketball house: three regulation high school courts that reconfigure into six youth courts, six tournament volleyball courts or nine practice volleyball courts, on hardwood. It is also the rare local court facility with a real drop-in culture, running midday pickup basketball and volleyball on a daily open gym schedule; a guest pass is $15 with a member and $25 without one. Family membership is $40 a month on a 12-month minimum plus a one-time $100 registration fee, and includes the 2,200-square-foot workout room. Doors are open 11am to 8pm.

Brushy Creek Community Center

The Brushy Creek MUD's community center is a short drive east of Cedar Park and holds more indoor basketball than anything inside the city limits: four full-size gymnasiums, plus two racquetball courts, a weight room, an indoor walking track and free group fitness classes across 60,000 square feet of recreation space. Open gym runs on a monthly posted schedule, uses half or full court depending on demand, and is open to any member or guest, with non-members paying for a guest pass. Memberships are sold as annual or three-month contracts rather than month to month: a resident individual works out to $17.50 a month on the 12-month credit card plan, a non-resident individual $30, both plus a $25 activation fee.

Court Vision

A dedicated basketball gym on Brushy Creek Road, run by trainer Logan Blow and built around one-on-one and small-group skill work for youth, high school and college players rather than open runs. It is not a drop-in gym, but the floor can be booked on its own: a one-hour gym rental is $125. Ongoing class memberships run $175 a month for the Saturday elementary group and $320 a month for the Monday and Wednesday middle school and high school classes. Court Vision publishes no opening hours and no court count, so everything routes through its online booking calendar.
