How we researched this
Since only one Vietnamese business sits inside Mount Prospect's village limits, we drew a ring about 12 miles out and took every place we could confirm was open, from Des Plaines to Northbrook. Arlington Heights, the nearest suburb, ended up with no entry: Pho An Heights is listed as closed, and the one other listing there shows a stop work order on its door. Several names that turned up only in search snippets, with no address we could find, were left off, as were real places outside the ring such as Pho Phu Linh in Skokie, Pho Home in Harwood Heights and the Argyle Street restaurants in Chicago.
Ratings come from Restaurantji for eight rows and from Restaurant Guru's Google figure for Pho Dung Gia, so treat a 0.1 difference as noise. ALTEA has no rating because the only score we found was the one printed on its own site. Hours for six rows come from a restaurant directory, which can trail a change in schedule, so call before a longer drive.
