Sorting by Pieces will mislead you, because every maker counts differently. The Amazon Basics 142-Piece gets there with a 100-piece bag of screws and anchors, which leaves roughly forty tools. The Prostormer 93-Piece is padded with wood screws down to about a dozen actual tools, and its hex keys are metric only. Forty of the WORKPRO kit's 100 pieces are cable ties.

We read this as someone kitting out a desk and an apartment: assembling furniture, hanging a shelf or a monitor arm, tightening a chair, not working on a car. So the table holds hand-tool kits only, at most two per brand, priced from $16.99 to $46.99. Drill kits such as Black+Decker's 8V and 12V home sets were left out because a drill kit is a different purchase at a different weight and price. Stanley, Craftsman and DeWalt are missing because none of them sells a compact household hand-tool kit on Amazon at a comparable price; Stanley's small 47-piece kit was listed at $229.99. DEKOPRO's 62-piece kit was dropped because its listing gives a weight of 6.4 ounces, which can't be right for a steel kit that size.
