Weekend events in Woodland, CA in June

The Woodland Farmers Market

The default Saturday-morning plan downtown, and the one June weekend event you can count on without checking a calendar. It has run since 1996 on First Street in front of the public library, with the street closed off and roughly twenty vendors selling produce, eggs, honey, baked goods and flowers, all sourced from within about an hour of Woodland. It is open 9am to noon and adds a Tuesday market through the summer. Go early: it is a three-hour market, and the good stone fruit is gone well before noon.

First Friday Art Walk

Downtown Woodland's monthly evening open house, and in June it lands on the first Friday of the month from 6pm to 8pm. Galleries, boutiques and restaurants along Main Street stay open late and host regional artists, with musicians and street performers filling the sidewalks between them. It is a browse-and-wander evening rather than a ticketed show, which makes it an easy first stop if you are new to the town. The one catch is that it is only two hours long, so arrive near six rather than drifting in at half past seven.

Woodland Pride Parade & Party

Woodland's biggest June weekend event, hosted by the health centre CommuniCare+OLE and now in its seventh year. It opens with a parade that steps off from Main and Elm on a Saturday morning and walks through downtown, then turns into a street party at 212 2nd Street with food trucks, a DJ, a drag show, an ice cream social, community resource booths and a marketplace of queer artists and vendors. Admission is free and it is deliberately family-friendly. It is also a morning event that wraps up around 1pm, so it is not a late night out.

Nor-Cal Toyotafest

A one-day Toyota truck and car show that takes over the Yolo County Fairgrounds on a Saturday at the end of June, run by Toyota Vintage Trucks. Expect everything from first-generation pickups to current 4Runners and Land Cruisers, plus a swap meet, an RC course, a flex ramp, food vendors, a kids' area and raffles that benefit the Woodland Skate Park and the local Boys and Girls Club. It is alcohol-free and pitched at families. Two things to know before you go: tickets are sold in advance, and dogs are not allowed unless they are service animals.

Woofstock Dog Show

A four-day AKC conformation cluster run by the Contra Costa County Kennel Club, which moved the show from Vallejo to the Yolo County Fairgrounds in 2026. Thursday is given over to breed specialties and the all-breed judging fills the Friday-to-Sunday weekend, so several dozen breeds are being shown in the rings at once. It is a competitor's event rather than a festival, but the grounds are open to look around and there are food and dog-gear vendors. Worth knowing: the exact June dates move year to year, so check the club's calendar before driving out.

Woodland Opera House Mainstage Show

The indoor option, and the one that fills several June weekends rather than a single day. The Opera House is a restored 19th-century theatre on the corner of Main and Second in downtown Woodland, and its mainstage season runs September through June, with each production playing two to four weekends. That means the last show of the season is usually still running in late June, typically Friday evenings plus Saturday and Sunday matinees. Seats are ticketed and the house is small, so popular weekends sell out.

F.O. Eagles Annual Rib Cook-Off

The smallest and most local thing on this list: a lodge barbecue competition put on each June by Fraternal Order of Eagles Aerie #2345. Teams sign up in advance and are given the ribs; judges hand out first, second and third place and the public votes a People's Choice winner. It is a community fundraiser rather than a ticketed festival, so the scale is a car park and a social room, not a fairground. Note the location: the aerie is out on Highway 16 just west of County Road 98, a few minutes' drive northwest of downtown rather than in it.
